About Inshore Fishing with Captain John
Captain John targets the best backcountry fishing grounds in the Daytona Beach area including the Halifax River basin, the Intracoastal Waterway and the rich wetlands near Ponce Inlet and New Smyrna Beach. Captain John goes where the fish are including shallow creeks and flats where deep draft boats cannot go. Some of the best inshore fishing around Daytona Beach such as Spruce Creek and New Smyrna Creek are just off the Halifax River and the Intracoastal Waterway. These creeks offer great fishing for species such as redfish and snook but cannot always be reached in deep draft boats. To reach all the best fishing spots on his inshore charters, Captain John has a 22 foot skiff powered by a 175 HP Suzuki outboard. You will get to the best fishing spots fast! For added comfort and convenience, Captain John also has a 26 foot boat available with a T-top for shade and an enclosed head (toilet) for your convenience.
