Offshore Fishing Charters in Daytona Beach Daytona Beach is Famous for Offshore Reef Fishing! Since 1981 Volusia County has built 15 artificial reefs off the coast of Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach and Ponce Inlet. This hugely successful system of reefs consists of discarded concrete structures from culverts to bridges. They are perfect for bottom fishing and are home to many Snapper and Grouper species including the much sought after Red Snapper, large schools of Mangrove Snapper and huge Goliath Groupers and Warsaw Groupers. Preying on the schools of fish on the reefs are Amberjack, Sharks, Barracudas, Cobia and Tarpon. Let’s go Offshore Fishing with Captain John! Captain John has been fishing offshore in Daytona Beach since the first artificial reefs were created. Captain John will use his experience and knowledge of the reef habitat to put you where the fish are! Most of all you’ll have lots of fun on an offshore fishing adventure with Captain John!
